The Magic is one of Gateway's most popular putters, and one of the best all-around discs for both new players and those with more experience. It is a straight-flying putter/approach disc that can be easily used by beginners because of its great glide and small amount of low speed fade. This is also an easy disc to turn over and will hold just about any line it is thrown without hyzering out. The Magic has a blunter nose than the other Gateway putters, which allows it to maintain longer spinning action thanks to the added gyroscopic weight distribution in the rim.

Gateway has infused a hemp-based bioplastic into their dependable Sure-Grip polymer creating a more tacky and grippy blend. These fall between a Firm and Soft in flex and feel.

The Sure-Grip™ or "S"-Series, is a matted material and is a high end version of the "DX" or "D" plastic of from other companies. This type of polymer offers a firm, solid feel with a grippy surface and great performance in the rain or extreme heat. The "S" plastic allows the disc to break in slowly without changing its flight characteristics after just a few hits.
